Mass Observation Day 12 May

Each year the MO archive at the University of Sussex calls out for diary contributions recorded on MO day to capture a slice of contemporary life. This year we’re getting involved and will be calling out to all our contacts to ensure there’s a good representation from Bolton. We want to use the exercise to plan a bigger project next year with the University of Bolton. We’ll be in touch.

Knife Angel

We were honoured to create an audio-visual record of the Knife Angel display in both Bolton and Bury. The dramatic sculpture elicited a wide range of responses from the general public some of which was captured for posterity by Peter and Julia. More info and links on our facebook page

Featured artists include jazz duo Joint Effort aka John Smethurst and Donna Morris and singer/guitarist John ’Dylan’ Macfadden. Live from Worktown is a Community Interest Company. We have vacancies for directors and associates. We have a number of projects on the stocks and we are still regrouping after the loss of our colleagues Dave Burnham and Paul Backburn. If you’re interested in getting involved particularly in reorganising our web-site, newsletter, or if you want to help delivering projects let us know.
