We are now inviting submissions for the November issue of Worktown Words on the theme of Patterns.
Exploring patterns in nature, personal experience, social justice, poetic form, and more – submissions open from 1st October to 30th October, midnight.
This issue will be guest edited by Lisa O’Hare.
Lisa O’Hare is a poet whose work explores the intersection of the personal and the universal. In 2023 she was shortlisted for best spoken word show in the Saboteur Awards and became a BBC Words First Finalist. She has performed at Edinburgh, Greater Manchester, Morecambe and Camden Fringe Festivals. She has also created workshops for workplaces, schools, libraries, and festivals including Worthy Pastures and Boardmasters. She used to run the Community Poetry Officer social media accounts but she put that to one side at the end of 2023 to focus on editing a poetry collection of her own, which will be published in the near future.
