We’re all really pleased to welcome Romina Ramos, an accomplished local writer and poet, to the LfW team to take on the running of the monthly poetry anthology. Most recently known as Networds, we’ve decided to revert back to the previously used title of ‘Worktown Words’.

Romina has already sent out a call-out for the first edition of Worktown Words, with a theme of ‘Tribute’. It’s guest-edited by Ajaz Qureshi, an accomplished poet who has just published his own collection of works, Full Nelson.

We’d like to thank everyone who has submitted poetry to this edition, which we hope to publish early July. Do keep a watch out for this!

    Hello Dave
Helen Prescott mentioned an event on 19th July at Bolton museum when we are invited to read nature writing.
Have you got any more details about this?

Hi Bernie – many thanks for your comment. Yes, this is related to an event that will take place on the 19th July and we’ll post more details on the web-site once everything’s firmed up. I think Dave has already reached out to you as well. Thanks, Julia
